Pastie to Meat pie!

Updated: Nov 3, 2021

This really hit the spot. The crust recipe is posted on the blog post for our amazing custard berry pie! I do believe you should try both! This crust recipe makes six crusts that will turn out flaky and tasty every time. When you have extras roll them out and freeze. If you are interested in purchasing some sign-up or contact us at contact@bumpaneenee.

I am not someone who follows recipes and the items below came from the farmers market!

I collected carrots, potatoes, celery, cabbage, fresh oregano, rice (beans out of the garden), fresh garlic, onion, and dices these up; added @sevensons ( https://sevensons.net/ ) Italian sausage and @thebluffsbeef highlander ground beef ( https://www.thebluffsbeef.com/ ). Fried a pound of each of the meats and combined this with the cut-up veggies and cooked until soft. I then added 1/4 cup sweet rice flour 1 1/2 cups water just to add a bit of moister and a slight gravy. Salt and pepper to taste. This mixture, add to the pie crust, I had leftovers that will turn into shepherds pie!) Top with crust, make steam slits and place int the oven at 350 for 1 hour or you see the gravy bubble through the crust. Tip: do be careful on the celery, if it is garden grown it does have a stronger taste! Next time I make this I will be more exact on my measurements for those of you that are not used to cooking off the cuff!! I have a hard time with recipes as I seldom use one for cooking meals. Baking, yes I do use recipes and then change as I go!! Enjoy!
