Who loves chili on a cold winter day? This is one meal that will warm you up from the inside if created with some fresh jalapeno peppers. Finding just the right combination to create that chili that has just the right amount of heat and flavor has been an experiment and I would say that tonight was the best I have ever made!
2 -8 oz cans of chili beans with sauce
2 -8 oz cans of spicy black beans
2- 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
1- 16 oz cans Italian tomato sauce
1- 8 oz cans of garlic spiced chopped tomatoes
1- fresh jalapeno seeded and diced
2- ripe fresh tomatoes diced
1- full bunch of Cilantro chopped
5 - large cloves of garlic diced
1- red onion diced
1 lb of browned ground beef
1- 12 oz bag of frozen corn
add spices to taste:
chili powder
cumin
garlic powder
cayenne pepper
salt
black pepper or white pepper
In a large saucepan brown your hamburger, when done add onions, garlic, and the jalapeno. Cook these until soft- while this is cooking quick make a batch of dinner rolls! When soft then add all cans of beans, all cans of tomatoes and spices. Stir well, taste add more spices of your choice. When the sauce is warm add the corn and cilantro, stir well cover with a lid and let simmer for 20 mins while your dinner rolls are cooking! Dish up top with cheese or sour cream and enjoy!
